Window Cleaning in Shoreview, MN

Shoreview is our largest single cluster of clients, and there's a straightforward reason: we're based one suburb south, and we've been cleaning glass around Snail Lake, Turtle Lake and Lake Owasso long enough to know most of these neighborhoods by their window hardware alone.

What Shoreview homes need

Most of Shoreview went up between the mid-1960s and the early 1990s, which means we're usually working on split-levels, walkouts and ramblers with casement windows — the crank-out kind. Casements are the ones homeowners find hardest to do themselves. The crank mechanism and hinge track collect grit, the screens sit on the interior, and the sash swings out over a shrub bed or a walkout drop. We pull and wash every screen, clear the hinge tracks, and detail the sills that casements tend to trap water in.

The other Shoreview constant is the tree canopy. The mature oak and maple through this part of Ramsey County is beautiful and it is hard on glass. Spring brings a fine pollen film that dries into a haze most people mistake for permanent hard water damage, and by late summer there's sap on anything under a canopy. Neither responds well to a household glass cleaner — wiping pollen dry mostly just moves it around. Our exterior work uses reverse osmosis purified water, which lifts that film off the glass rather than smearing it, and dries with nothing left behind because there's nothing in the water to leave.

Walkout lots are the third thing. A lot of Shoreview backs onto a slope down to water or wetland, so the lower level sits a full storey above grade on the back side. That's ladder work over uneven ground, and it's the part homeowners should not be doing on a Saturday.
